AIMSS Chamiyana, situated near Shimla, is a cutting-edge super-specialty hospital with approximately 337 beds, built to decongest IGMC and deliver advanced healthcare across Himachal Pradesh. It has already taken on major OPDs and departments from IGMC including Gastroenterology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Urology, and Plastic Surgery. The facility is well-equipped with high-end Operation Theatres, a Cath Lab, and is poised to install a 3-Tesla MRI. It is also HP’s first government hospital to introduce robotic surgery, offering precision, reduced recovery time, and minimally invasive interventions. With infrastructure investments like an automated laboratory, paperless systems, and improved patient transport, it aims for world-class care. While access and road connectivity presented earlier challenges, those are being addressed.
